DIRECTIONS:
Accommodation Creek Cottages is located at Ballandean. 15km south of Stanthorpe in Queensland’s Granite Belt on the New England Highway between Sydney and Brisbane.
By Road from Brisbane – Take the Cunningham Highway travelling west through Ipswich. Aratula and climb the Great Dividing Range through picturesque Cunninghams Gap. Pass through the rainforest at the top of the Gap followed by the patchwork farmland of the Southern Downs to the historical town of Warwick.
From Warwick – Travel south along the New England Highway towards Stanthorpe. Continue on the highway as it bypasses Stanthorpe for a further 19Km to the village of Ballandean. After the Post Office turn into Curr Road then left onto Sundown Road, cross Accommodation Creek, Accommodation Creek Cottages are the first driveway on the left, look out for the sign.
From the Gold Coast – Travel via Nerang, Canungra, Beaudesert and Boonah and join the Cunningham Highway just east of Aratula. Continue to Warwick then follow the directions from Warwick.
From Byron Bay – Go via Lismore to Casino and follow the Bruxner Highway to Tenterfield. Head north on the New England Highway. You will cross the border into Queensland at Wallangarra. Ballandean is the next village on the highway after Wallangarra, 15Km to the north. Before the Post Office turn into Curr Road then left onto Sundown Road, cross Accommodation Creek, Accommodation Creek Cottages are the first driveway on the left, look out for the sign.
From Sydney – Take the New England Highway north from Sydney travelling via the Hunter Valley, Tamworth and the University city of Armidale. The open grazing landscape gives way to bush and majestic granite outcrops as soon as you cross the border into Queensland at Wallangarra. Ballandean is the next village on the highway after Wallangarra, 15Km to the north. Before the Post Office turn into Curr Road then left onto Sundown Road, cross Accommodation Creek, Accommodation Creek Cottages are the first driveway on the left, look out for the sign.
