Set amongst ancient gum trees, the property borders the banks of historic Accommodation Creek, site of one of the area's earliest settlements.

Views across a peaceful dam and the blue peaks of the Girraween & Sundown National Parks help to make this your perfect retreat.

Situation:

Our cottages are situated in the middle of a 200 acre property, 20kms south of Stanthorpe, on the Granite Belt, near the village of Ballandean, in the Southern Highlands of Queensland.

Ballandean weather is always beautiful with four distinct seasons, each with its own colours and character.

Spring-Primavera- is the awakening of our world after the winter hibernation. Colours are vibrant and abundant, from the kaleidoscope of blossoming fruit and vines to the contrasting carpet of wild flowers in the fields. The temperatures are cool but with a hint of the summer heat to follow.

Summer days are hot and colourful with cooler, refreshing evenings filled with the warm scents of the day just gone. An earthy, sweet scented richness, heralds autumn with its patchwork of golds and browns, reds and greens, that leads us into winter when the skies are stretched in brittle blue across the world and the earth beneath is a black and white backdrop to the bright winter fruits and warm reds of the Granite Belt wines.

Description of the accommodation:

We have three self- contained cottages. Rose and Jasmine Cottages have one queen-sized bedroom each with separate bathroom, while Camellia has a queen-sized bedroom and separate bathroom, with a second bedroom featuring two king single beds and an ensuite bathroom.

All beds have cosy duvets and electric blankets.

Each cottage has a double divan in the living area as well as a comfy chair and kitchen table and chairs.

Our cottages are self-catered. They have kitchen facilities – large fridge-freezer, hot plates, microwave, cooking utensils, TV, DVD and CD player as well as linen, toiletries, fluffy bathrobes and complimentary port and chocolates. There is a barbeque in the garden.

One cottage is purpose-designed for wheelchairs and all cottages are children-friendly.

Pets are not permitted on the property and smoking is not allowed inside the cottages.

Each cottage is situated in its own garden and each has a verandah that overlooks our dam with the mountains as an ever-changing backdrop. It is relaxing to sit on the verandah while enjoying a barbeque breakfast, lunch or dinner or a glass of excellent local wine.

Close enough to the New England Highway for convenience, yet far enough away to ensure tranquility, Accommodation Creek Cottages are within walking distance of several leading wineries.

Several restaurants and coffee shops, each set in peaceful and interesting locations are only a short drive away.

Just 15 minutes to the north lies Stanthorpe, with its excellent art gallery, museum, restaurants, shops and sporting facilities, as well as more wineries and other places of interest.
